Meet Your Teacher

Hi, I'm Miss Lee.  I grew up in Texas.  I moved to Walla Walla to go to college.  I taught English in Thailand for a year after my sophomore year.  Than I got married and moved to Arizona for almost 20 years.  I missed the Pacific Northwest so much that I moved back here and got a job that I love--in an elementary school computer lab!  Now I see over 400 students a week and help them learn about computers.

I like to learn about things that happened in the past, and dream about the future.  How do I do that? I like to read very much!  I have traveled all the way around the world 2 times and have tried a lot of interesting foods.  One smelled (and tasted) like old dirty gym socks and other yucky things all rolled into one gross fruit!

I also like to make cards for special people I know, using rubber stamps, stickers, "doo dads", shaped scissors, and calligraphy.  If you don't know what calligraphy is, just ask me the next time you see me.  I learned to sew when I was 12.  I can make stained glass windows and frame a picture.  I like to create beautiful things and sometimes we get to do that in the lab with the computers.

My favorite books these days are Ox Cart Man by Donald Hall, and The Single Shard by Linda Sue Park.  After I read A Single Shard, I looked on the Internet to see the actual vase in Korea that inspired the story!  The Internet can be so cool!
